Text messages

Aequida invites people to take short surveys by text. This page explains what our texts look like, why you might get one, and how to stop them.

What our texts look like

Every text names Aequida, says it is a short survey, links only to aequidapolls.com, and ends with how to opt out. For example:

“Aequida: 3-min survey on issues where you live: https://aequidapolls.com/[your code] Reply STOP to end.”

Why you got one

For public polls, we draw a random sample of registered voters from public voter files, with cell numbers appended. If you joined our survey panel, you asked us to text you survey invitations. Either way, taking part is up to you.

How often

One invitation per survey and at most one reminder. Panel members get about four survey invitations a year. We text only Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eastern, and never on Sundays.

Stop or get help

  • Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts from us. You will get one confirmation and nothing after that.
  • Reply HELP for help, or email hello@aequida.com.
  • Message and data rates may apply.

What we never do by text

  • Sell anything or ask for money or donations.
  • Ask for passwords, bank details or Social Security numbers.
  • Send links to any site other than aequidapolls.com.
  • No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
