Aequida Research is an independent opinion and market research firm based in Scranton, Pennsylvania. We measure what people think with text-message surveys against real sampling frames, and we publish our methods so anyone can check the work.

## The name

Aequida is pronounced AY-kwee-duh. It comes from the Latin word aequus, which means level, equal and fair. A level, fair measurement is the whole job.

## What we do

- **Public polls:** Self-funded surveys on the questions people are talking about. Toplines are published free and archived on this site. Anyone can buy the full crosstab book at the same price.
- **Quarterly omnibus:** A shared survey every February, May, August and November. Add a single question or a full section and get the same sample, weighting and demographics as our published core questions. Your questions stay private, and no client sees another’s.
- **Commissioned research:** Private studies for one client: issue reception, benchmark and brand tracking, message testing, market and feasibility research, and fully custom work. Commissioned results are never published.

## How we work

- We publish the uncertainty, not just the number: every result carries its margin of error.
- We disclose sponsor, field dates, mode, frame, weighting and exact question wording for every published poll.
- In any race we poll, every candidate and committee is offered the same services at the same rates.
- We don’t do advocacy, persuasion or get-out-the-vote work.
- We never sell or rent our respondent list and never release anyone’s individual answers.
